  • Studio Administrative Assistant

    Responsibilities:

    • Greet students and guests.

    • Take attendance as students enter, and call home for anyone not in attendance.

    • Enter registration information from admission meetings into the system, send invoices, and input payments.

    • Schedule makeup lessons.

    • Send out overdue payment notifications.

    • Schedule private lessons, and alert the staff on any new, changed, or cancelled lessons.

    • Answer the phone and retrieve voicemail messages.

    • Respond to email messages and inquiries.

    • Take birthday party and room reservations, add them to the calendar, and draft contracts for approval.

    • Keep lobby area tidy and organized and follow all cleaning protocols.

    • Measure students for class uniforms and show costumes.

    • Monitor studio exits at pick up.

    • Explain our classes and programming to customers, and give them a memorable experience.

    • Attend all staff meetings.

    • Assist at performances and fundraisers, with notice given.

    • Other duties, as assigned (show related tasks).

    Compensation is based on experience. Annual review allows for pay increase. Discounts for staff children attending our academy or programming. Free adult classes and discounted private lessons.

  • Dance Teachers

    Qualifications:

    • Appropriate dance training for the discipline you wish to teach.

    • Teaching experience, a degree in dance, college credits in dance, or extensive training in dance including ballet, tap, modern, ballroom, and/or jazz.

    • Ideal candidates will have theatre experience. Bonus if you have dance captain experience.

    Responsibilities:

    • Implement curriculum given by the director.

    • Choreograph age-appropriate dances using the given curriculum.

    • Meet all show deadlines in preparing students.

    • Oversee student helpers and their training.

    • Attend all meetings, trainings, shows, and fundraisers.

    • Responsible for the safety and well-being of all students in your care. Understanding that your students are kids first and performers second.

    • Keep dance studio neat and ready for the next class.

    • Start and end classes on time.

    • Arrive 15 minutes prior to class so you are ready before your students are.

    • Report all incidents with students and staff, facilities, and repertoire.

    Compensation based on experience, certification, and annual reviews.
